The announcement explains, “When guests enter your haunted-ish house, they can dine on regal furniture, admire a spooky portrait with eyes that definitely don’t follow you around, or disappear behind a secret door in the wall!” Many games are celebrating Halloween through in-game festivities and related updates, but The Sims FreePlay appears to be one of few (if not the only game at the time of writing) encouraging players to celebrate Halloween with various parties. As the update’s name suggests, The Sims FreePlay players will have the opportunity to celebrate spooky season by hosting a “fancy” ball, during which guests can sport their Funko masks or other in-game masquerade-like pieces. While the special Funko items are a highlight of the Mysterious Masquerade update, the patch’s new content is largely centered around an eerie Halloween party.
